The Craftsman/NSTA
Young Inventors Awards Program challenged students to use creativity
and imagination along with science, technology, and mechanical ability
to invent or modify a tool. This competition ran from 1996 through
the 2004-2005 school year.
NSTA congratulates the winners of the 2005 Craftsman Young Inventors
Awards, and says thank you to Sears and good-bye to the Young Inventors
program. Sears Craftsman has sponsored the Young Inventors program
for nine successful years and has encouraged more than 42,000 students
to explore science by inventing a tool. NSTA extends its gratitude
and appreciation to the leadership at Sears Craftsman for its support
for this program and for its commitment to science education.
